Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Asanga Origin Private Limited (“Asanga”, “we”) handles when you use Re-scribe, why we handle it, who helps us, and what rights you have. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.
1. Two kinds of data, two roles

Programmes often contain personal data of other people, such as faces, voices and names. If you upload such content, you are responsible for having the right to do so and for any notice or consent that the law requires for those people.
2. What we collect and why

We use this data only for the purposes above. We use it with your consent, or where the law allows us to use it for the service you asked for, to meet legal duties, or to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
Re-scribe is built for businesses. It is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
3. Your Content
- We process Your Content only to produce the Output you ask for, to give support, and to keep the service secure.
- We do not look at Your Content except where needed for support or security, or where the law requires.
- We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
- If we get a legal demand for your content, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
4. Who helps us process data
Today we run Re-scribe on trusted third-party providers, and we are moving processing to our own infrastructure. The providers process data on our behalf, under their terms with us, for the purposes below.

Some providers may process data outside India. Indian law allows this unless the Government restricts a country. We check that each provider offers appropriate security. We may change providers and will update this list when we do.
5. How long we keep data

We keep data longer only if the law requires it or we need it to deal with a legal claim.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections, access controls, separation between customers’ data, and logging. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you without delay and report it to the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires. We expect our providers to protect data in the same way.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- erase it, unless we must keep it by law;
- take back a consent you gave (this will not undo what we did before);
- deal with a complaint; and
- if something happens to you, let another person you name exercise these rights for you.
If the request is about content in a programme that a customer uploaded, we may pass it to that customer, who decides how the content is used. To make a request, email support@asanga.ai. We aim to reply within 7 days and to resolve the request within 30 days.
If we do not resolve your complaint, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to sign you in and keep the service working. These policy pages load a font from Google Fonts.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for a material change, email the account owner.
